i have an extensive custumization for production work on windows you could try that instead of the defaul configuration. i think it might be just as confusing but at least you have access to advanced features and the menus arnt snafu i think what you need right now is a project template so if you could describe how you want to set up your sessions you could get alot of free help with that you gotta think someones already doing what you want to
I think the OP could do with breaking the workflow down into relatively small steps, and then ask here for ways to accomplish each stage. Then amalgamate them all to produce his own "Reaper-ised" workflow. I understand why OP wants help (paid for too), but I suspect that as has been pointed out, most of (if not all) he wants to do has been done by someone here already, and will be willing to help and/or share up front here. Customising the stages into a fast workflow with custom menus, scripts and shortcuts and actions (remember you can create complex actions by combing many actions and binding them to a key), can then be done by OP with guidance from the good souls here. Good luck OP, and welcome to the Reaper forum. Also, a point to remember OP, is that the devs do read posts, and IF there is a big bug, or major hitch with a workflow which can be fixed, then they will chime in with advice etc. It's been the case that a bug has been reported here, and has been fixed with a new patch (viz. release) within hours. They are very responsive. dB
^^^^ Understand. Remember the old adage, "There's no such thing as a difficult question. Only ones you don't know the answer to"! So ask away. Been doing music since the mid-1960's, as have a few here too (we are not all "spring chickens". All genres seem to be well represented here too, from large scale orchestral work down to the spoken word (and voice overs!). Good luck getting a head start. There will be niggles on the way, and the "Reaper way" is sometimes different from other DAW workflows. dB

You've come to the right place for help, Eirik! For your motionless average left hand alone, Reaper is absolutely capable of a custom workflow with a theoretical 12 x 16 actions, using a combination of (Windows) Ctrl, Shift, Win and Alt keys together with Q-R, A-F, and '\'-C. If you can break down your workflow into fewer than 192 shortcuts, you only need one hand:) Looking forward to the final result.
