V50 2.4 Engine

Hi Could you anyone tell me if the V50 2.4 170bhp is a Ford engine (if so what car is it used in) or a Volvo engine. Thanks Nick

Its the famous volvo engine which has been in production for 16 years with slight modification over the years .. A version is used in the Renault Saffrane and ford galaxy and focus ST and RS which everyone is raving about .. but nowhere does it say its a volvo engine ford insist on branding it a "ford duratec" what ever that is , i think all these focus ST and RS models should have a "powered by volvo" badge on the back!

The objective is to achieve optimized driving dynamics and on road performance through an advanced technology front-wheel drive system, combined with a limited-slip differential, this is the first Fast Ford that will feature revo knuckle technology. The optimisation of the UK spec car has been ongoing for a while is now nearly complete making it suitable for UK roads and conditions.Tested this year at Knockhill in Scotland, the most demanding UK circuit as well as various other circuits and test facilities around the country. Handling and dynamics are spot on, I just hope they don't ruin the production cars by putting in a poor interior like they did with the ST
